Denise Farmer Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Denise Ashman Farmer, 49, of Ankeny, and formerly of Cedar, who died March 10, 2006 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born on December 2, 1956 at Oskaloosa, the daughter of Brice and Margaret Walker Ashman. Denise graduated from the Eddyville High School with the class of 1975. On June 19, 1976, she was united in marriage to Barry Farmer at Cedar, and later divorced. Denise had worked as a secretary for the Human Resources Development Department at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny for 17 years. She attended Grace Church in Des Moines.
