Des Moines Bailliage Chaine Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the Des Moines Bailliage Chapter of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, a membership group that meets at least six times a year to enjoy everything from formal dinners prepared by the city’s most outstanding chefs to more casual, themed events celebrating artisanal foods. Membership in the group is by invitation only and is extended to both “amateur” gastronomes and to culinary and hospitality industry professionals. For professionals, membership offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate one’s skill and creativity to a discerning, appreciative audience. For all interested men and women, Chaîne membership offers opportunities to meet people who share a common interest in fine dining and good fellowship. In addition to this scholarship, the Des Moines Chapter conducts a local Young Chef’s competition each February. The local winner represents the Des Moines bailliage at the Midwest competition.
