Jillian Blair Visual Arts Memorial Scholarship

Jillian Blair Visual Arts Memorial Scholarship

Jillian Blair was a seventeen-year-old Junior who attended Johnston High School. She had a Bohemian Chic sense of style, enjoying fashion design, Interior design, graphic design, and photography. She loved being innovative with her own personal style, often sporting new hairstyle trends and make up to find her signature look.

Jillian was an avid lover of music and art. She spent much her time wearing headphones, endlessly searching for the right vibe to spark her creative visual talents.

Sadly, Jillian was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart disease which causes the heart to enlarge and left ventricle to thicken. It causes irregular heartbeats and makes the heart difficult to pump blood, which can cause sudden death.

On April 21, 2022, five weeks after the diagnosis, Jillian’s heart went into a lethal rhythm and she was gone in a blink of the eye. This scholarship was established to honor her fun-loving memory and creative spirit.
