Lori Dowie Reeser Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created to honor Lori Dowie Reeser, who for 28 years, mentored and trained hundreds of students at DMACC’s ICI and passed away from a long battle with cancer. Lori was hired in 1985 by Executive Chef Robert Anderson. Over the next couple of decades, Lori would work alongside Chef Anderson and the Iowa Culinary Institute team to elevate the DMACC’s Culinary Program to one of worldwide status. Lori’s management of the gourmet dinner series would demonstrate not only her talents but her ability to teach and inspire her students, many of whom would become some of Central Iowa’s top chefs.
