Marguerite Kelley Endowment

This scholarship, honoring the memory of Marguerite Kelley, was created by her family to help young people get a degree in teaching or education and continue the important work of teaching future generations.
Marguerite was born in 1943 and grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 1965 with a Bachelor’s degree in history. Shortly after, she began her teaching career at United Community High School in Boone, Iowa. After 20 plus years teaching mainly high school, Marguerite began teaching part time at DMACC at the Boone campus. She eventually returned to college, receiving her Master’s degree in history from Iowa State University in 1993. Marguerite passed away in 2000.
